We are on the food council and want to tell you what we do, and what we are trying to change. We do things like take surveys, walk around the playground asking people questions and then take them to Mr Clapham. Firstly, we ask what we can improve on and they tell us what is good and bad about dinner times. We jot their ideas down in a small note book or piece of paper and keep the ideas safe. Secondly, we have meetings and we all bring up the ideas we have been given and decide whether or not they are possible and if so when they can be done.
We are proud that we have put a lot of the suggestions into action. Some of the success stories from Food Council include:
- New dining tables.
- Some new foods have been introduced.
- Dinner and packed lunch children can sit together.
- Parents can come to the Come Dine With Me events.
- We now have special themed meals that everyone can have together.
