Collective Worship

Please click the values below to view several pages which highlight how we demonstrate our Christian Values at our school and in our local community. We hope to fill these pages with quotes and verses from the bible and photographs of the work and activities completed by the St. Andrew’s children and other examples of the world around us.

Daily Christian worship for the whole school is an essential element in the timetable.  Children listen to stories from the Bible and applied moral tales, and have a time of prayer and reflection.  Each Wednesday there is a guest speaker from the wider Christian community. Parents have the right to withdraw their child from collective worship.

Every half term we invite families along to our hugely-popular Friday Family Worship, where mums, dads and grandparents can see their children receive awards gained both in and outside school, look at children’s work, and join in with the children’s act of worship.

Pupils are inspired by collective worship because they are all actively involved and they recognise that the Christian values promoted impact directly on their thoughts, attitudes and behaviour. (SIAS Inspection, 2016)
