What have we been doing?
♦ Year 3 Health and Wellbeing Lessons ♦
Last term our Year 3s took part in a Health and Wellbeing programme run by SHAPE partnership. They learnt about the importance of healthy eating, keeping fit and how important it is to look after your wellbeing.
Here is some of the feedback from the children.
"I've enjoyed getting outside a bit more. I've learnt about my body a lot- we breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide"
"I've enjoyed Liam teaching us about what can help our body. Keep your mind healthy and have a healthy diet"
"We've been learning about our diet and exercise, how many grams of sugar we should have a day"
"I enjoyed playing 'cross the river'"
"I think the sessions were fun and I enjoyed talking about exercise and the games that we played"
"I know that blood carried oxygen and we should eat a rainbow diet with different coloured foods"
"I've learnt about a healthy diet and how much exercise you should have every day. I learnt about team work and trusting each other"
"I've learnt that my mind can control my body and I need to keep it healthy"

This week we have had the company Articulate Dance deliver workshops to every year group. Each dance was related to their class topics, the children have loved dancing in the sun shine!
